We are proud to welcome Ronald Bot, the first Artificial Intelligence Director of GASP!
Following the disappearance of former Director Constance Mallory (if you have any information on her whereabouts, please contact GASP immediately) we are excited to have Director Ronald leading the organization into a bright new future!
Despite recent controversial comments about the redundancy of the human race, Ronald assures us that it is dedicated to the protection and survival of all our citizens. Director Ronald brings exciting new ideas to the organization, including mandatory preparedness training sessions, and a tough stance on computer terrorism.
Which leads us to this week’s important lesson on Internet safety. Below find some of Director Ronald’s top tips for protecting yourself against cyber attacks:
Never click on links in suspicious emails. If you aren’t sure if an email is legitimate, go directly to the party’s site and log on.
Never open the attachments. Typically, retailers will not send emails with attachments, so always double check with the retailer before downloading anything.
Do not give out personal information. If contacted over the phone or via email, do not give them your personal information.
Set secure passwords and don’t share them with anyone. Avoid common words, phrases, or personal information as a password. Update your passwords regularly.
Keep your anti-virus and other software up to date.
Pay close attention to website URLs.
Be suspicious of unknown links or requests sent through email or text messages.
Finally, remember that Artificially Intelligent beings are our friends! Let’s welcome our new computerized brethren with open arms, and make cyber space a safe place for all.
